Clannad 2? More Dango-Daikazoku?

Heck yeah. I was just about to complain that I didn't like the ending to Clannad. If this rumor proves true, then the series will probably be more awesome than Air or Kanon.

Yet again haruhi is pushed back.

Sweet christ I knew it, seeing how the series ended like halfway through the whole thing I knew Kyoto wasn't stupid, time for this to rise above Kanon, which out of spite I declared was better than Clannad had they not planned to go further with it.

It won't push back Haruhi because Haruhi will be fall '07 and Clannad S2 would only be 1 cour starting in summer '07.

The Nagisa arc should've officially began when Tomoya asked her to go steady with him when she was in tears over the choir club. If I recall correctly, though, they got completely cockblocked by Kyou back when it was supposed to happen. Had it happened at that point, they would have had more episodes to spend on Nagisa instead of the 6 that they wasted on Ayu 2.0 Fuuko.

Also, what was with Kyou/Ryou/Tomoyo getting the shaft? It's like Nayuki but worse.

So much for the Tomoyo after story follow up, that was a good dream while it lasted.

Obviously the problem was that too much time was spent on Fuko... and then some more time (yeah, I don't like Fuko).

I'm not sure, in the original story what happens for Kyou's, Ryou's and Tomoyo's arc but they all had alot of screentime throughout the show and Ryou did spend 2 or 3 episodes trying to get Ryou and Tomoya together, I'd even say they started implementing her arc in the show back in the early episodes when Kyou and Tomoya sat together at the bus stop and Kyou asked him a certain question. I'm not saying that Fuuko getting as much time as she (or any at all) was a good thing, but I don't think the rest of the crew got shafted as hard as Nayuki.
Also, even though both the series and the movie follow the same overall storyline, they differ slightly on some details that lead up to certain events. One thing the movie did that I have to say was overall better than the series was the buildup and execution of Nagisa's stage performance, another +1 about the movie was the lack of Fuuko. Everything else I think the series has done better.

As if you didn't expect such a rumor to come to fruition.

the summer will be a let-down but the fall series are something to definitely look forward to.

There WILL be a Tomoyo arc OVA (link complete with promo) that is going to be released on July 16.

I think this highlights that, yes, KyoAni does indeed know how to profit from anime.

Yeah I read up on the OVA being the Tomoyo arc but I didn't see that it would be out on the 16th, yay.

Well, the tomoyo ova is out, and there was much rejoice. Now for the subs... though I suppose I could watch it raw since I already saw a translation of the T&T route.

Anyways, as they apparently didn't stray from the source I suppose I'll quote Kurogane on this one:
"NOT ENOUGH KYOU. *RAGE*"

But I actually did enjoy seeing the tomoyo route, despite the lack of other characters from where they're focusing on, so this should be a good watch. They definitely need a Kyou OVA now...

Shoulda been something along the lines of "NOT ENOUGH KOTOMI. *RAGE*"
But, I'm not the blogger here.

They should just make a visual novel anime adaptation where it just restarts after every girl and follows that route through. It'd be more like the viewer was actually going through the original game and they won't have to worry about the overly-complicated juggling act of doing all the girls at once.

Either way, Tomoyo is awesome enough. I have enough Noto Mamiko this season anyways from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.

I refuse to watch sprocket hole subs, Will wait for eclipse.
Nogizaka is definitely the #1 new anime this season. Such a grim season..
