Needless: Needless to say, a fun watch
Initial Impressions: Gurren Lagann - Mechs + Lolis(Yuri lolis).
When I first read the synopsis I was initially unimpressed, but after reading reviews I decided to give it a try. Move over Canaan, there's a new favorite show in my Summer slot.
Absolutely no thought required to get into this show, pretty much everything you need to know about the plot is revealed before the show is half finished.
The real meat is of course the over the top presentation and the gags work.
As for the ED. It was great, but it could overwhelm the unprepared.

DOUBLE POST!
Wow, that was interesting.... I can't say it was the top of my list cause I do like plots with depth so CANAAN and Umineko are still my favorites but it's definitely interesting and....... BEST ENDING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Lastly where the hell is my Ichizon no Setokai? That was initially the only thing I was looking forward too until Thahn told me about CANAAN and brian told me about Umineko. Oh yeah and Umineko's intro is badass too.

Well like I said, it's taken top notch for me because I look at the show and everything works. The jokes and action, they are all well done. The characters are also appealing, take Adam Blade for example, most people carry liquor in their bibles, he carries a grenade.
I think Ichizon no Setokai got canceled or is stalled for another season.

Okay now that I'm pretty deep into this show, I can heartily give my approval.
Overall, the show is rather a bit slow at the start, but around ep 4 it really picks up the pace (except for 6 and 7 which were fanservice filler, but rather enjoyable). Despite the initial humor, it actually gets rather gets gory at time, but the studio keeps the level of violence to better match the initial impression (as opposed to the manga which gets bloodier and gorier from the initial grenade blowing off a guy's arm, not that this is bad mind you).
I find it amusing that they hired Minorin to play the part of a mute girl.
Also, I think I found a new waifu.

At the bottom of their shit hole they get pro reinforcements. Cliché but awesome nonetheless.
I'm surprised the strength pink haired girl was so readily affected by the gravity though I mean, it should counteract the effect more or less.
The ending is still awesome though.

Well, if you look at her expression, it would look like Mio-tan wasn't even trying to do anything in comparison to the other two girls. Or, the simpler explanation is just force of gravity>super strength.
I hear a new OP is getting ready for the 2nd cour, hopefully they'll keep Aggressive Zone though. That never gets old, no matter how many times I see it.

Frak frak frak frak frak, the mute said something! I'm just as shocked as the characters.
Otherwise it looks like this was where the budget for the previous episodes went.

You mean Minorin.
Well I was amused by her gasping sounds. At least it's not like Special A where what's her face probably went without a paycheck for like 15 weeks.

Okay got around to watching the new OP/ED, man they just can't compete with the old ones.
Scarlet Bomb just doesn't get me fired up as Modern Strange Cowboy and well... nothing can compete with Aggressive Zone ED.
