Druaga

I never thought I would be saying this, but GONZO has turned out something that's actually funny in the way that it was intended to be. The intentional cheesiness and parodying of RPGs/fantasy themes had me laughing hard almost the entire time (especially during the tentacle rape scene). I don't know how long it'll last, though, given GONZO's penchant for trainwrecking series.

Also, making good on their promise, GONZO subbed it and posted it on Youtube/Crunchyroll! Seriously, go watch it now.

Utu, Roper, and Neebu (or whatever the hell his name was), ah those scenes were hilarious. Though my predictions of epic failure from ep 1 was disproved, I'm still skeptical regarding the series, since ep 1 was pretty much just an omake episode.

Well, the word that comes along with any GONZO show is "caution."

I hope it doesn't pull some epic trainwreck later, but if it does, then I'll disown the rest of the series.

I don't usually watch anime (my interests in Haruhi non-withstanding) but if the series can follow the path that episode 1 of Druaga (what kind of name is that? Or is it an acronym?) laid out, then I might have another anime to be interested in lol.

Yeah I had/and still have no intention of watching this but that first ep was great. If the whole series was like this I'd watch it but, its going to be a regular rpg fantasy I believe so forget watching anything else.

As episode 2 showed, it didn't. But that was expected by the end of ep 1.

As funny as the first episode was I think it's rather deceptive as to how the anime is actually going to be. I kinda got that dothack feeling about this anime.

Druaga ep 2 = /seriousbusiness.

GONZO fails again.

I've found the best trope ever.

The second episode seemed like events from an online game, especially the yell here and others will respond part, I wont be surprised if gil dies and it shows a real life version of him cursing at a computer screen.

Sixty floors? Sphere 211 had well 211 floors, and the Demon Shaft had 100 floors.

Ok I was bored so I finished the rest of this series and it actually wasn't all that bad.

Final thoughts: Gonzo needs to quit CG. Cliffhanger endings are painful. Sequel in 2009.
