Ok our club has 3 panels for this convention
The "What to Look for in Anime and Manga" panel that we did at PCC basically.
Learn to Play Mahjong
Anime Jeopardy

Who wants to participate?
I already got the Mahong panel COVERED

I should mention that the Jeopardy game is already well on it's way to being finished.

I probably wont be able to attend myself, but my sister might do it, so I;ll let her know.

If that's alright with you guys, is it okay for me to help out with the panels.... I don't know anything about mahjong, but I'm willing to learn about it.

Anime Jeopardy sounds like fun too...

The introduction to manga/anime will be pretty fun to participate in as well.

Yeah Andrew I'm sure you could probably help out, Sophie we'd be glad to have ya as well. Since one of our panels is the exact same intro panel we had at comic-con then it'd be nice to have as many of the people that helped out last time do it again. I'm under the impression that it's free to get in if we're doing panels but I'll leave it to George to make sure of that. Anyways enjoy your trip in Japan, cya later.

Alright, time for an update: (because I can finally give you guys an update) I've got some good news and bad news:

The bad news is that we actually DON'T have all three panels at Saboten...YET. Everyone who posted ideas for conventions using the website that they gave us were recently told that submissions that are under consideration to be added are given the "assigned to track" status on site. I originally thought that it meant that we were definitely in because when I checked it after submitting the very first one after like a day or so, we were added to the official list. I was told recently that we should be getting more info as to whether or not will the other two panels will get selected for the con in the up coming weeks, but they won't give any more info than that. (And considering how much effort I spent on building the Jeopardy game, I'm pissed that it's not officially in yet!)

The GOOD news is that we technically still have time to come up with more ideas to submit to Sabo on the off chance that we actually can't get the other two panels that we originally wanted to do, but the problem with that is that frankly I'm fresh out of ideas for panels. So if anyone else has an idea for a panel that they think might work out, post it here and we'll see if we can work something out. The way that I see it, I want to have more than just ONE panel at the con, so the more interesting ideas that we submit to them, the better our chances we have to have more panels at the con.

Also, if there are any other questions you want to ask about SABOTEN-CON, I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

so while i have a million ideas for pannels i'd like to host, almost all of them involve my hate for other people so the only one that seemed practicall was

Shoujo doesn't have to be so homo: a look at anime and manga that are just amazing as long as you have the tolerance level to watch something that doesn't have testosterone flowing from every orphose.

the name honestly could use some fixing ill be honest its more or lest designed to get people to broden their horizons and get them to watch something they wouldn't just because the main demographic of viewership is women

Mmmm, I dunno about new ideas yet, let's see what happens to the Mahjong and Jeopardy ones, I also have put quite a bit of time into the Mahjong one, and although it's not done I'd hope my work thus far hasn't gone to waste. I'm surprised the "beginner" panel of ours was approved so quickly though....

OHANDBTW, what this means is that I'm not going to bother working on the Mahjong panel anymore until I know if it's for sure or not, but to be honest if they had us choose between the two I'd still rather do the Jeopardy panel, because interactive panels are a hell of a lot more fun than educational ones, and plus, yours is basically done.

So it's either i'm blind.
Or its really not there. DDDDDD;

soooooo.... What is the plan now? Are we going to be in? Or do we need to have more panels to do anything? We do still have the one panel, yes? A little info would be nice.

The programming is wrong, we actually have the what to look for in a manga/anime and the Jeopardy panel.

We wanna try and hold a meeting on Saturday about the future of JMS and our panels at Sabo, who can make it?

Though i'm not entirely sure if i'd be able to come since that's when my friends and i are getting together to plan for our artist alley table.

I just found out that we'll be given friday passes to go to sabo since our panels are only on that day. So if you want to go for more than one day, then you'll need to buy additional tickets

George won't be back in town yet, that's why it's Saturday, I have to do stuff Saturday afternoon as well that's why I'm hoping we can have this meeting as close to noon as possible as per Sophie's request.
