Psycho-Pass
Wait, so people can be judged for execution for having mood swings? Seems kinda harsh.
I wouldn't have minded a less, "Lets save everybody" heroine. But it kinda makes sense in context.
Also, I guess "Dominator" aren't the guns name for nothing.

Re: Psycho-Pass
The previews for the show made the heroine look a bit more... competent? Not really complaining, though. I don't mind following this show.

She probably gets better at dealing with stuff.
I like the concept of the show, although it's been done in America a lot, I don't recall ever seeing it as a driving plot of an anime.

Re: Psycho-Pass
I'm just wondering how that guy manages to act in place of 3 net idols AND still have time to make sure he has enough safeguards in place to evade the police AND kill people to take on even more work.
Also is it just me or do I feel like this show is trying to hide the fact that it looks/feels like a Shoujo........ with blood and violence.

Well I mean, Ghost Hunt was a shoujo and a horror, who says there can't be a bloody violent shoujo?

Yeah, this show sets those Shoujo flags as much as K sets the Yaoi flags.
............ But at least I like Shoujos most of the time.

Really? The guy hunts people and doesn't have a butler! Absolutely terrible!
But nice episode otherwise, at least compared to the speechfest that was the previous one.

Kougami is just............ The Most Dangerous Game
There should be a psycho pass monitor on Tsunemori at all times so we can see how close she gets to breaking every time someone pisses her off.

It's begun!
Man, that was a pretty brutal ep. It could've been worse though, Akane could've accidentally shot Yuki.

It really felt like this show picked up this week. I'm definitely very pleased with Urobuchi right now.
God, and now we have to wait a few weeks for the next ep.

Re: Psycho-Pass
I honestly thought she was going to hit Yuki. I agree, this has definitely propelled the show to where I expected it to be 5 episodes ago, but I feel affirmed since I was thinking since a few eps in that a person who could falsify their Psycho-pass would be a great criminal, although I didn't expect it to be due to a biological reason.
The way I take it, the Sibyl system could be reading the emotions that would characterize criminal activities like bloodlust or certain types of fear and regret and maybe a measure of depression (I forget what type of chemical imbalance is present in depression cases) and makes a distinction based off of that. So when somebody comes around who is so innately evil that they don't have the same psychological responses to committing crimes then they would seem clear to the system.
The show has a great setting, and it still feels like a really dark and intense shoujo anime.

Re: Psycho-Pass
Well like, that was the beauty of it. As a viewer, you already know that the Sibyl system obviously has some deficiencies and you know how completely the detectives have come to rely on it. This sort of event was bound to happen. The whole thing feels pretty "Minority Report"-ish.

Re: Psycho-Pass
This... felt like another wasted episode.
While it was interesting to see what Sasayama and Kogami were like and I guess revealed how Enforcers can be recruited without them being toddlers, this was basically filler adding nothing to the current story.
And according to some, this is starting a full blown Yayoi arc... why?

Re: Psycho-Pass
Well I guess a Rock star fits the theme better than a J-Pop idol, but she could have pulled it off, would have been funny to see such a 180 change in character.
I don't think Gen would have written this for no reason, even if the reason was as small as just getting to know Yayoi's past, but either we'll see a full arc in which case the pretext will make perfect sense, or something will happen involving her (maybe her and Tsunemori together?) and the events of this episode will have meaning.
Lastly, I think it was pretty clear how Enforcers come to be in the first place, toddlers aren't criminals at birth so they need to first become a latent criminal before they can be recruited. Of course, it was vague on whether or not they had to be Inspectors first.
I couldn't help but notice how nicely Yayoi's eyes were animated.
