My (non-pleb) to-watch list Spring 2014

Post  take-mikazuchi on Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:44 am

This season is going to be much better than last by far.

Sequels/Continuations

Jojo's Stardust Crusaders - Originally, I wasn't going to watch Jojo's because of a certain someone *coughspadaforecough* who wouldn't shut up about it. Then when his hype died down I sat down and watched it. And it's good.

Date A Live 2 - I found this show to be hilarious and decently done.

Love Live 2 - Amongst the idol shows this is the only one I could get into. AKB sucks, idolmaster sucks, Aikatsu sucks.

Cardfight Vanguard!!! Legion Mate - Can't stop watching this show. I don't know why.

New shows

Gokukoku no Brynhildr - ARMS can be good. The synopsis sounds alright enough for me to try anyway.

Black Bullet - Post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting with guns and shit? Yes please

Akuma no Riddle - I'm in it for the yuri, let's be honest.

No Game, No Life - This seemed interesting. I'm just hoping to god it's not another Ixion Saga DT.

Sidonia no Kishi - Saw the PV for this months ago. Omg yes. Of course anyone who knows me well enough knows I'm gonna jump on this one.

Haikyuu! - Sounds like what Lee Sin says when he ults you. But Production I.G. seems to know how to do sports anime

Mekaku City Actors - Ph34r my 1337 h4x0r1ing 5ki11z. This should be good. Shaft is doing it.

Mahou Shoujo Taisen - This is either going to be fantastic or dumb as shit.

Captain Earth - Out of the 3 mech shows coming out this season, this one probably is the weakest link. Bones doesn't have that great of a reputation in my book, but I'll give this one a shot anyways.

Isshuukan Friends - If they don't explain a reason for her memory loss, dropped at ep1 gg surrender at 20.

Mangaka and Assistant - ZEXCS sucks usually but if they manage to make this fun, I'm game.

Blade and Soul - There is no way this can be good. But it has the same director as Steins;Gate and Gonzo is a decent studio (at least in my book).

Broken Blade (Break blade?) - Production I.G. + Mech = No question that I'm gonna watch it.

Hitsugi no Chaika - Because Bones is on my shit-list I'm only giving this 1 or 2 episodes instead of my usual 3-5. If it doesn't catch me by then it probably wasn't worth watching.

Escha and Logy no Atelier - Sounds and looks like a JRPG with alchemy. I suppose I'll try it.

19 shows. Hoping I can drop that to 12 or so. There's a lot of games that came out this month that I want to play. Also just really trying to cut down on watching things out of impulse or just because. Coupled with that, I'm also making an effort to not force myself to continue watching something if I really don't want to, or if it feels like a chore. If it's not entertaining, gripping, making me really want to watch the next episode, it's probably getting dropped from here on out.

Don't watch Blade and Soul. Play the game when it comes out in Japan instead. :V

Also I read Break Blade and it was aiight. Really formulaic but Sigyn pretty much carries the whole thing.

It's Matt, don't worry he probably will never check this thread (or forum) again till next season.

So says you, beeeeeeeitch.

Also, I have trouble remembering everyone, except for Brian and Ruben. But then again, there's apparently only you 3 that post anyways.

Well spoilers, the 3rd is Thanh.

Trivia: I was planning on making a satirical thread listing all of the anime I wasn't going to watch this season and why, but the scope was too large and unappealing.

I also just realized that my dancing Miku avatar went missing but now fix'd.
