Show is pretty.

Yeah it's got nice animation, I kinda think the whole first half was unnecessary, but I suppose it'll be a plot point for later. I really like the idea of him landing on a primitive world without means of communication (kinda reused but a good theme) but the whole mecha space fight aspect is not my cup of tea.

It's too bad, this show has the potential to be a good 24-26 ep series but isn't, whereas certain other crappy shows deserve less and get more *cough* Sakurasou *cough*
Hopefully the listing on MAL is wrong and the show does end up being two cours.

I can't believe they just spilled all the beans in one episode. Were they trying to compete with Shingeki for craziest reveal of the week?
I'm excited and worried to see how they're going to handle this setting for the next 4 episodes. I mean, realistically there's no way he's going to get this info to where he came from, and the data won't really change how the Gargantia people live their lives, so..... I guess it's sole purpose is to shape how he'll make choices from here on out?
