I'm actually really surprised that the show got into separation drama at the second episode.
Hearing Rikiya Koyama as a charismatic antagonist is enjoyable, that guy's getting a lot of work recently.

This show is on track to being a better show than Problem Children, let's keep it up.

On a side note, wasn't there a show with an Elisa ending? Lemme go find that, I don't recall hearing it yet.

So BB reminds me entirely of Unbreakable Machine Doll, which I dropped. Enju is like a carbon copy of Yaya except completely flat.

Incest, back-alley card deals, and models getting salty over children's card games; this show is fantastic.
Also my current favorite OP of the season, Kanon Wakeshima was never someone I paid attention to, but then again I really only knew her for the Vampire Knight (and sequel) (ughhhh) EDs.

Well, that show did imouto stripping for..... other.... reasons....

Anyways, after the "recalibration" scene, the show actually got really entertaining.
Also, called it on the whole "take 5 minutes to explain a 5 second battle" thing.

Feels like it's kinda moving too fast, but not in a fail way like magical warfare.

I'll take too fast over too slow any day though.

Moments like when Kisara explained how the levels work to Rentaro when he obviously knows how these things work just for the sake of the audience, bugs me. This show isn't littered with the trope like Mahou Sensou was, but then again that show was on a level of bad I haven't seen in anime for awhile.

Somehow, I knew that was what you were going to say.

Alka line count for the week: ~12 + some screaming, moaning, and heavy breathing.

EDIT: Oh My God WIXOSS is an actual game https://imgur.com/a/sZRpR looks similar too Weiss/Vanguard, but with more variety and player interaction on the opponent's turn.

Ruben you know BnS anime is dead to me. I've just given up hope that they'll animate anything remotely pertaining to the game.

As for wixoss, I imagine that I would be more inclined to learn the game if all of the names for things didn't sound stupid as shit.

I think it's really funny that they basically busted open a thesaurus for these terms to avoid lawsuit issues, but are blatantly copying all the same concepts anyways.

Because apparently attempted murder is A-Okay in this society and just gets you a slap on the wrist so long as it was against someone from the lower class. And that's not a social problem at all.

And yeah, the first chunk pretty much establishes why he won't be pairing with any of the girls.

Those bubbly sibling moments are growing on me, I was actually laughing a little at the restaurant scene and Mizuki's reaction.

So the show got REALLY political REALLY fast and I think I missed a couple of things, but in the end it's all just MAGIC anyways.
