Fall 2016 (aka)...
... the season where I'm going to play more games and not worry about being behind in December when I'll be working, sleeping and nothing else.
aka, the season of season 2s.
No Continuations from last season (thank christ)
Sequels
Ajin 2 - Show's great. I wanna see what this guy does. Animation's fine.
Bungou Stray Dogs 2 - Despite the mild amounts of gay, it's still alright.
Haikyuu - Finally we can hopefully finish up this lackluster sport, inferior to Ace of D and Kuroko's.
Hibike Euphonium 2 - Apparently she was born to blow Tubacabra
Mobile Suit Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans 2 - It was far from the worst Gundam, not anywhere near the best. But at least it's better than the last shit fest they put out.
New Stuff
ClassicaLoid - That PV was so ridiculous but having the theme be about classical composers kinda got me, having been in pro orchestra and shit. The only thing that bothers me is that it's the same director as Gintama which I don't care for. But we'll see.
Drifters - Picking this up purely based on the hype its been generating. Looking at the staff tho, it should be something good. Same director as Jojo's Stardust Crusaders. Same creator as Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate.
Luger Code 1951 - WWII werewolves? By Studio Deen? I don't see how this can possibly be good, but meh. I'm trying to fill 10 spots here.
Occultic;Nine - More 'paranormal science' shenanigans. By A-1 this time around. Featuring Noto Mamiko, Sawashiro Miyuki, Kaji Yuki, Itou Shizuka and Yoshida Hitomi. What a cast. Same director as Your Lie in April. Same creator as Robotics;Notes
Shuumatsu no Izetta - Aside from what appears to be 2 girls flying in the sky on rifles, this actually looks interesting. Another WWII setting. Can't say I've heard of studio Ajia-Do. Series composition is questionable, as it's the same guy that did Code Geass, Magi, and Strike the Blood along with Screenplay staff for Darker than Black, Fractale, and Index. However, he also did series composition for Guilty Crown, Vividred Operation, World Trigger, Trinity 7, Accel World, and screenplay for Gundam Seed, Black Butler and Dance in the Vampire Bund. He's also the creator of Seikon no Qwaser. So this could either be fucking gdlk, or fucking garbage.
The Maybes
I've got 10 so far which is super light even for me. These are really if I find myself super bored.
Fune wo Amu - It's not exactly my cup o' tea, but objectively speaking it could honestly be one of the better shows. Though it has the same director as Sukitte Ii na yo which bored the shit out of me.
Keijo!!! - You know that butt bumping mini-game from DOA Extreme? It's that.
Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru - Anime and fuckin' mobile games I swear. PV made it look a little on the gay side tho. EDIT: actually nevermind. Looks stupid
ViVid Strike - Maybe with all this extra time I can go back and catch up on the last Nanoha season I missed and watch this one.
God. Even assuming I watch all the maybes, that's still only 13. And I had super dead time this last season having nothing come out between Tuesday and Thursday. My final watch list was only 15 including ReLlife. Fuuuuuuuuuu
MOVIES OF INTEREST
I'll likely need to reference back to this in the future since movies that come out in theaters in Japan we don't see for another year and a half.
Chain Chronicle - Looks more badass than Arslan
KanColle movie - Because of course they would
Gantz:0 - YEAH GANTZ BEEITCH!
Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV - Seen all the OVAs so far. Kinda interested. I know I'll end up playing the game at some point since it doesn't look like another 3 parter like 13 which sucked.
Koe no Katachi - KyoAni movie. "I wish we had never met. I wish we could meet once again. A boy who can hear, Shoya Ishida, and a transfer student who can't, Shoko Nishimiya. One fateful day, the two meet, and Shoya leads the class in bullying Shoko. But before long, the class shifts its target from Shoko to Shoya. Years later, Shoya feels strongly that he must see Shoko once again." This actually looks really good. https://anilist.co/anime/20954/KoenoKatachi

Re: Fall 2016 (aka)...
I thought this season would be kinda slim, but I think I'm wrong, let's go through this.
Continuations/Sequels
12-Sai. Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki 2: This show wasn't good, and I don't think I want to watch more, but I'm going to do it.
Ajin2: Loved Ajin, definitely wanted more.
BUNGOU STRAY DOGS 2: The first season really picked up in the latter half, so this ain't the worst news.
DAYS: This show is going alright still, glad to have some Soccer in my life still.
Haikyuu!!: Karasuno Koukou VS Shiratorizawa Gakuen Koukou: More Haikyuu, looks like they're doing one game for the entire season? Sounds like a case of the DBZs.
Hibike! Euphonium 2: AND THE LORD SAID, LET THERE BE MUSICAL BAND INSTRUMENTS AGAIN!!!!
ViVid Strike!: I've been waiting for this, LONG. AND. HARD.
New Stuff
3-gatsu no Lion:SHAFT times, I haven't watched a SHAFT show in awhile, looking forward to this a bit, the Shogi aspect is interesting as well, I wanna learn how it's played a bit and hopefully this instructs somewhere near as well as Chiayafuru did.
All Out!!: Since we're doing all these different spots now, I guess it's Rugby's turn.
Brave Witches: I don't wanna watch this because I didn't like Strike Witches....... but it's Silver Link
ClassicaLoid: This sounds great, I'm ready for Sunrise to make more non-mecha stuff because I actually like their alternate shows quite a bit.
Flip Flappers: Looks like some good' ol Magical Girl
Girlish Number: Is this Kore ga Seiyuu season 2?
Idol Memories: It's like Netflix and Chill, but Idols and Chill.
Keijo!!!!!!!!: On the authority of many people telling me to watch this, I'll watch this.
Long Riders!: I didn't watch Yowamushi Pedal, but since I'm a guy I'll watch this.
Lostorage incited WIXOSS: As this anime company digs deeper into a dictionary that doesn't make sense, they make more of this golden gem of an anime. AND IT'S ALL NEW!
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku: This is my most anticipated show of the season, Magical Girl Battle Royale? This is basically what I've lived my life for.
Occultic;Nine: I'm not really that on board with this, but it's A-1 so I'll give it a try.
Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume: Ping Pong the Animation Season 2?
Soushin Shoujo Matoi: Mikos and White Fox! Sounds like a good mix.
Stella no Mahou: This doesn't sound good, but Silver Link.
WWW.WORKING!!: I wish they weren't making more, but they are........ people need to learn to let things just go sometimes.
Maybes
These are most likely just straight up "no" since there's quite a bit for me this season already, but for formality's sake........
Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari: The premise looks ok, but I'm wary of the slowness, even if it is Liden Films.
Watashi ga Motete Dousunda: The plot sounds interesting, but I'm really not a fan of Brains Base anymore, so I don't want to watch it.
Shorts
I'm kinda making it a point not to pick up shorts any more, or at least try not to, but we have a few sequels this time around that I need to watch:
Bishoujo Yuugi Unit Crane Game Girls 2: The most 2D of anime, also the show is stupid as hell, I wish it didn't have more.
Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara. 2: This was so lewd, kinda, in a lolicon way, but there wasn't any nudity.
Okusama ga Seitokaichou!+!: This was so lewd, totally, in a "we're basically naked every episode at some point and this might as well be porn"
Teekyuu 8: The legend continues, I'll marathon it after the season as usual.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23 shows + 4 shorts and 2 other non-listed continuations I can remember, come up to about 25 shows. Not bad, let's see if it stays that way.

Re: Fall 2016 (aka)...
So I couldn't watch Brave Witches, as hard as I tried. I was willing to forego the "yet another random monster invasion for the sake of plot", but they grew animal ears and tails every time they used magic, which was a dealbreaker for me.
On the other side of things, I never took a good look at shorts, so I'm looking at them as they come out, aside from the few I mentioned already, I also picked up Nazotokine and Cheating Craft, both of which were enjoyable.

Drifters 1
Definitely feel the Hellsing vibes. Hard to say where this goes tho. I doubt it will be as good as Hellsing, but let's see what the creator can do after 10 years.
Shuumatsu no Izetta 1
Ok so since the rifle itself was not magical and (what appears to be) the only character with power used magic to move things, I'm ok with it.
Keijo 1
Welp, somehow this ended up being the hype of the season. It's dumb AF, but I've sat thru worse.
ClassicaLoid 1
Excluding season 2s, this was probably the best new show I've seen so far.

I've been watching is mainly for the SHAFT, and partially because it's the writer of Honey and Clover (I guess she's only written two manga?). Either way, I'm definitely getting more into it the more they delve into their past, but I'm wondering how they're going to fill 24 eps.

Well now that I've seen it..........
Yeah, the guy's death wasn't very expected, and before the beginning of the episode I wouldn't have expected Magicaloid 44 to die this early either, but the beginning backstory of her kinda set off some alarms. I really appreciate though how they teased the goth loli's ability at us before seeing it in action, sort of like a hint to how things were going to play out at the end.

Favorites are still ClassicaLoid, Ajin and Drifters
At this point I'm considering dropping Occultic;Nine. We're halfway thru the shit and they still have yet to explain anything. The problem I have isn't just that, but also because none of the characters are interesting to me. It could just be that Steins;Gate set the bar a little high, but even Robotics;Notes was better than this.

Yeah Occultic;Nine is definitely the worst show of the season, to be fair in Steins;Gate's defense, it was done by White Fox, so they may have just adapted it better. I mean we've been told that Chaos;Head was a very good VN. Maybe this show is just being adapted very poorly.
