Kaicho wa Maid-sama
Well.... that wasn't really what I was expecting, it was better than I thought it was going to be.
With relation to my post on Angel Beats, I'd have to say that the first episode of this wasn't as explosive but it was still really good, they way they set it up I think it's going to be more romantic than I expected it to be, which is good because I thought it was going to be one of those silly fanservice comedies. I guess I should expect better from J.C.Staff by now as they are my second favorite studio. So far I'm liking this season, what's next uhhh B-gata H-kei? Dang I think I might've started my new season anime watching from the best to worst.

What the hell made you think it was going to be a fan service show?

I think red would've been more suiting seeing as how it's the natural color for rage. But I'll admit white looks good too, plus I suppose it's the primary maid color.

The outfit could become red, depending on how hard she hits people and a little imagination.

It's more like a blackish color or at least two to three buckets worth of that stuff came outta me in the hospital.

That I didn't remember Aoi from the manga either indicates that I a) glossed over it, b) forgot about it because it didn't seem interesting, or c) my brain forcefully forgot it.

I had no idea that it was a guy, but when I first saw the character I was wondering why they chose to animate the face with a male style, I was not the least bit surprised after the revelation.

Re: Kaicho wa Maid-sama
Kaichou wa maid-sama is one of those shows where you think it's going to go one way, but in fact its nothing more than a girl's shojo paradise. xD Regarding the Aoi comment stated earlier, I forgot about him and a couple of the maids from Cafe Maid, but after re-reading the manga once more I realized they play a more interesting role than what meets the eye.
Now what I'm looking forward to now is how they're going to go about this series. Will they cap it off at 24 episodes the same way they did for (for example): Kimi ni Todoke and Special A? (They pretty much end at a specific point in there manga format). I probably won't know until I see some more development within the anime since it's only at episode 11/12.... possibly 13 since I haven't caught myself up to date yet.
I have to say though, I was extremely happy how the anime plays up a lot of things that the manga doesn't. (At least not to the extent it does in the anime). One of those incedences would have to be the vice president within the student council... and the fact that everyone thinks he could be a girl in disguise of a guy.
The little details about the idiot trio was a nice touch up too since you don't really know any backstory behind who they really are in the manga.

Re: Kaicho wa Maid-sama
Yeah, ep 15 is out now, but I can't this show until I get back to the USA in August.
I really like this show but I think that it could go either way still at this point, I wish there was a sub group doing this that had DDL's on their site because I can't torrent and I can't irc... oh well.
After I watch more next month I'll post more of my thoughts on this show.

I can't even imagine living without IRC as a catch all safety net.
Uh anyways, I got bored with the dream episode and never really rallied myself to continue keeping pace with the show, though it's not as though I have harsh words about it.

Re: Kaicho wa Maid-sama
So has anyone watched the new episode for KWMS? The latest one: The one with Yukimara's sister and the "prince." It was a good epi overall but I wish they'd pick up the pace a little. Within the episode you can see the development in Usui's character... and the fact that the animators can't stop putting Misaki into a frilly dress/wig.
I do have high hopes for the next episode regarding the new guy coming in. That should be entertaining.

Re: Kaicho wa Maid-sama
The latest one I watched (since I'm an Eclipse fansubs fanboy) is 19 where she went to his house to help him out. Honestly this is still one of my favorite shows still even with all the new stuff but I can't say that it's coming to an end yet, but I am two episodes behind so...
And who doesn't want Misaki in a frilly dress?
