Club is alive?

Hey my name is Ryan and while I wont be coming to asu I'll be a student at nau. Sadly their anime club is in flagstaff while I'm at tucson. The drive is to far for me and I'm looking into other community college anime groups to join so I post here in hopes to see if this club is still goin or not. Forgive me but I posted this topic in each category in hopes someone reads it.

No worries, I axed the other two threads.

Anyways, it's not. A president never stepped forward to rebuild the thing.

That's upsetting. Is there any unofficial club or something?

Yeah club died........ I wish it was still alive too. I wonder if I can be the adviser for it now that I'm an Alumni.

I'm actually more surprised that someone was able to find this forum. Holy crap.

Of course, compared to those clubs whose meetings are just watching random shows, this forum is actually more informative and conducive to finding new stuff.

Actually, that's a good point.

Of course there really isn't anything stopping from anyone starting the club back up again... but most students prefer to be a part of something rather than lead.

Lol idk if I'm leader material but hey never know Lol the main prob I see is I'm not a asu student idk how that will effect everything though like i said I am a student just not here. I would love to see this anime club get restarted cause the only anime group I can seem to locate is the Pima one in Tucson which is close to me but Phx is closer

Lol what can I say I'm stubborn as hell and when I want something I go hard to try and get it. That being a anime club ATM.

So you go to NAU and you live in Flagstaff, or you live in PHX and go to a remote campus for NAU? Either way yeah you have to be a ASU student so don't worry about it lol.

I live in casa grande and will be going to naus Tucson campus. There is a anime club at Pima college I would try to join but Phx is closer to casa grande so I thought I try here. Well now that it's been decided I won't be a leader :p should the club get back and start running again would I be able to join even though I'm not asu?

Yeah club members weren't ever a problem as far as being an actual student of ASU or not, it was pretty casual. We just need officers who attend ASU and are up to doing just about nothing more than reserving a room for each week.

I'm glad I would be able to join, wish I could help with officer problem. If I went there I think I would join the officers. Well hope this club can get restarted. How likely would you say the chances are?

Technically I had to talk with admin when they decided to try to fine the club.

Well that's what I'm trying to say, to be an officer you have to be a Student at ASU, just to attend and be a member, you don't. Chances are slim though, we haven't seen new members in the last couple of years since the club died 'cause obviously without a club you can't really do any recruiting. Honestly the chances of some new people starting a new anime club all on their own is higher than anybody affiliated with JMS starting it back up again.

Yeah practically all it involves is setting up weekly meeting times for the year (or semester at least) at the start of the school year, then make plans on when and how you want to go about recruitment. The actual work of recruitment doesn't necessarily have to be the job of an officer but an officer is required to fill out the paperwork to set said recruitment opportunities up.

Well one can only hope lol I really wanted to join this club /sigh can only wait and see now

You're free to hang abouts here, it's pretty much the good bits of the club.

By the way I am going back to ASU for my masters so I could be the president just as long as I'm not the one running the shows off my laptop again.

Forgot to mention... if it does ever go back up again, I do still have the old club poster.

Hmmm with my current schedule I might even be able to show up and strangle the troublemakers help out.
