Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
I feel that this show definitely deserves a thread.
Ya know, for the future.

Something along the lines of... "that episode was awesome."

Time to get some fairies to live in my house.

Re: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
Uh... what's this supposed to be a social commentary on? The decline of humans and rise of cat girls?

It's a clear message that there aren't enough fairies around anymore. This is evident in that people can't even survive falling from the 20th floor of a building even if they did manage to rescue the pegasus beforehand.

It's an experiment to see who could link the relevance of the cat-droid to the black tablet at the beginning of the episode before they appeared in the same scene at the end.

Of course, it's all so clear now! I don't know how I missed something so obvious.

Re: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
So the Gel creature turned into a phone charger?
I liked how this episode resolved, I wasn't able to put my finger on what this arc was trying to parody in episode 5, but I suppose it was just going through how AI's have gained intelligence, although this is a more futuristic theme than the previous stories.
It was pretty easy to see what oyage was short for after they revealed Pion's full name, but I still thought it was clever mainly besides having a girl robot looking for somebody who she referred to as "Oyaji"sounded like she was searching for what she thought was her dad, and then turn it around like that at the end.
End of the Mediator's long hair, I was actually totally expecting the hair to attack the guy with the scissors, but I guess it lost it's sentience? Too bad, I wish they had played at that a bit more, but I suppose she could just find some more of the formula.
All's well that ends well though, the Mediator showed some compassion helping the travelers not have to go back to space which was nice, and the manual charging station was fantastic. Can't wait to see what comes next.

You do realize that this is the story of how she lost her long hair to begin with and why it was short in ep 1 right?

Yeah they're adapting the novels out of order. Episode 1 is the 4th novel I think.

Re: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
I didn't really get what they were trying to accomplish besides showing the way mediator-chan and assistant-kun met and the dog pun, everything up till now felt like it had a deeper context. Anyways, I'll never look at bananas the same way again.

This was the best episode since the Manga arc, a week long cycle of Entropy at it's finest.

Re: Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita
It's shows like this and Hyouka that prove that you can write something completely different from the norm and still make a work of art. I'm going to miss both shows greatly and I hope that maybe someday we'll get more of each.
The best 2 shows I was still watching during summer are now both just fantastic memories.
