Fall '08

Here's the line up

Yeah, so a few surprises, most prominent was how did R+V get a second season? Also, battle spirits... dear gosh I'm pretty sure I know what's getting a crappy dub at some point.

Anyways, not much that grabbed me for fall season. After Story is no question, but I otherwise only a handful of stuff have me curious. Mainly Linebarrel (pending I see what the mech looks like), Hyakko (school girls advancing through school is still a workable plot), and Tiara (I'm going to avoid leaving an explanation for this one). Hazama I'm curious about as well, if only because I can't tell what it's about.

So anyone got any picks for the season?

Tales of the Abyss - I'm totally watching it (finally, a series where Sunrise gets to reuse "dead" characters in a less-convoluted manner)
Jigoku Shoujo - people obviously need to sit through more hell
Clannad After Story - Nagisa is boring but I'll still watch it (but dangit where's my Haruhi)
5-2 - the original manga/ova was entertaining until you remember that they're in 5th grade (then it gets more entertaining)
Battle Spirits - Funimation bait

Well seeing how the summer season is 2 or 3 episodes into itself currently...
I haven't looked closely yet.
As far as I do know from the popular things its ~After Story~ (I'm looking forward to this regardless of it being Nagisa cause its a very sad story), Jigoku Shoujo, Tales of Abyss, Kyou no Go no Ni, and last but definitely not least (the best really) EF ~a tale of melodies~ (omfgfuckyeahscrewlifeforthisseriesi'mhavinganorgasm). Besides these titles that I've heard of from blogs err whatnot I'll look into the smaller less known series when the time and season reviews come around on Hashihime.
P.S. Yes Thahn school girls going through school definitely still is a workable plot that I for some reason enjoy (the slice of life fanatic in me), I'll probably check it out.

So like, Fall season is here and I'm already hearing good things about Toradora (which everone, including me, is going to watch).

Other stuff I'm going to check out: 5-2, Index, ToA, Clannad, Michiko+Hatchin, and Kemeko. I doubt 5-2 will last very long for me considering XEBEC (Kanokon/To-Love-Ru) is behind it. Also, Sunrise handling ToA is making me really uneasy. I still have high hopes for the other ones, though.

Ok Hashihime has had his shit out for awhile now, my total watch list comes down to this, although it could change depending on any of them sucking and people saying others are fantastic (FANTASTIC!!!)...
Akane-iro ni Somaru Saka (Just sounds like my kind of thing)
Chaos;HEAd (Reminds me of my favorite movie, Minority Report)
Clannad - After Story (Durrrrrrrr)
ef - a tale of melodies (I just got hard again, why do I have to wait 6 more days?)
Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Obligation, but I'm curious how she'll send people to hell as a Cherry)
Rosario to Vampire 2 (Cause Nick is watching it)
Tales of the Abyss (I don't have any bad feelings about this, it's like Sunrise playing on their home field)
Today in Class 5-2 (This could bomb quickly)
Toradora (Everyone......)
Vampire Knight: Guilty (Saw the first one.... obligation..)
Seto no Hanayome OVA (more obligation....)

and last...
Shoujo Sect ~Innocent Lovers~, now I don't remember Hashihime ever reviewing hentai's..... but its about lesbians, and I don't really think it's a hentai but I still wanna watch one ep of it.

and lastly, Hikaru said that Toradora was actually kinda good, and if he says something like that, its probably worth a look at least cause he doesn't watch barely anything.

Vampire Knight Guilty...maybe. I am far behind watching the first season.
Skip Beat...one of my favorite manga series (about a girl getting into acting for revenge), so I'm looking forward to seeing how this anime turns out.
Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae...story sounds interesting.

I will probably only watch toradora,
unless my computer magically fixes itself, then I would watch:
rosario to vampire 2 (watched first season)
Gundam00 (I'm interested in how things will turn out)
Tales of the Abyss
Class 5-2
Lucky star ova (only if there are Lucky channel segments)
and anything that I would happen to watch randomly and stick with.

Index is going to be the next Shana. I can feel it.

Down to the nekkid female lead. Otherwise, saw the intro and it hooked my interest. And hey with nuns, mikos, and maids there's something for everyone.

I may check Linebarrel on the basis that the protagonist summons his mech with a boob grab.

Gawd. 5-2 looks worse than I could have possibly imagined. Not to mention there's been negative reviews all around (and omgwtf horrible character designs). I guess that's one series I'm not even going to give a chance.

Also, Kemeko is supposedly going to be that hyperactive type of comedy like Dokuro-chan and Excel Saga. I wonder if I'll be able to sit through it. Those shows are usually hit/miss for me.

Oh, and After Story was entertaining, especially Kotomi calculating her swing. That killed me.

And yeah, Index is off to a good start. Definitely going to keep watching it. I just hope that a group other than AoShen picks it up.
